Note: My sister and I came together on this in May 2021. While the country has progressed in many ways through the pandemic, the mental health crisis is still VERY, VERY REAL. Which is why I personally feel this post is relevant to our world right now and sadly, the world for quite some time. Enjoy and please feel free to reach any one of us for anything whatsoever! ❤️

Before we get started, how are you feeling today? Do you feel like throughout the pandemic, you’ve lost your way? Do you feel confused and unsure of where you are in life? Are you asking yourself “okay, what now?” If that’s the case you’ve come to the right blog with authors who’ve asked themselves these questions too [and sometimes still do]. We compiled a list of ways you might be feeling lost, different reasons why it’s okay to feel lost, and what to do in those moments.

Are you ready to get started?

WHY IT’S OKAY TO FEEL LOST:

1. It means something better is coming

Oftentimes when we think about feeling lost, we might associate that with negativity, but what we lose sight of are all the positives that come with feeling lost. What do we mean by that?  When you feel lost or stuck, that’s when you begin to ask yourself, “What do I want? What makes me happy? What’s next?”. By asking these questions, you’re already setting yourself on the path for better things to come.

2. You recognize your truth

There’s a saying that the first step to solving a problem is recognizing there is a problem”. In this scenario it’s about recognizing that the “problem” is your solution. Take a moment to understand where you might be holding yourself back and realize that there’s power in that recognition.

3. It can open your mind to possibilities

You know when they say the possibilities are endless?  It means quite literally that the possibilities are endless. When we feel lost it can feel like the end of the road or that there’s not much else out there. Sometimes we just need to widen the lense of our perspective and recognize just how much potential we really have.

4. You reevaluate what’s in your control

How we manage what’s in control in our lives is just like how a computer hard drive or memory card stores it’s information. After some time, that information gets cluttered and disorganized. Sometimes our minds are like a harddrive, needing to reformat everything to declutter and recognize what is important and what’s in our control. Circumstances lead to circumstances but it’s ultimately always our choice to gain control and once we have that, we have a better sense of self.

5. It can lead you to adventure

When we think of the word adventure, we might first think of taking a trip, (Which is something that you find you might need in your life) but adventure comes in many forms, one of them being one from within learning more about yourself, your desires, and your passions. So pack your bags and get ready for one exciting journey.

aperezvoyages

I left my everyday routine back home for the open road in Feb. 2016 after spending everyday of my life dreaming and working hard. Everywhere I have gone and everywhere I go, I document my experiences with hopes to inspire others to take that necessary break from routine, and travel the world also. People don’t realize that life happens once, and it comes quick. So whether it’s travel or any other goal, I hope the message is clear, to do whatever you have to do, to follow your dreams. Cheers!
